On July 1st, 2010, the Provincial Government in Ontario will be implementing the Harmonized Sales Tax or HST. The HST is a combination of the Provincial Sales Tax or PST and the Federal Goods and Services Tax or GST. The PST will no longer be applied after the HST is introduced. The combined tax or HST will amount to 13% of total for purchasing applicable goods and services.

Will I be paying more taxes for Nexicom services? |

With the new HST, all Nexicom services will now be subject to HST. Some customers may see an increase in their total Sales Tax Payable. |

Will I be paying HST on my Internet Service? |
| A: |
Currently some of our services such as Internet Services are exempt from PST. With HST, Internet Services will be considered a taxable service and as a result, will be subject to HST. |

I currently qualify for GST exemption. Will this still apply? |

Customers who qualify for the GST exemption under the Excise Tax Act will qualify for an HST exemption after July 1st, 2010. |

I currently qualify for PST exemption. Will this still apply? |

With the new HST system, PST exemptions that are in place currently will no longer apply after July 1st, 2010. Some examples of those that were exempt from PST and are not exempt from HST are:
- Customers that possess an Indian Status Card unless they live on a reserve and the services for which the taxes will be charged are provided on the reserve.
- Business customers.
- Wholesale Resellers.
